Just curious as I believe iPhone is better for checking stats and managing PPC accounts etc (minus MSN Adcenter), but BB is waaaay better for emails etc. What do you guys own?

blackberries are for white folks

I actually LOL'ed at that. But I think Obama may disagree.

Just got the G1. So far, I dig it alright. I have minor issues with it, but otherwise it's a great phone and one hell of a great OS.

I haven't yet had the time to really look for all the best apps for it, but the ones I have bothered to download (usually while sitting on the shitter) I've been pleased with. Well, apart from one that, for some reason, mysteriously decided that the phone's backlight should be never go off. Stupid app.

Before that, I had a Blackberry Curve (T-Mo) for a little over a year. While it certainly wasn't a Bold, I have to say that it was a damn good phone and I never ran into any issues that a quick call to T-Mobile's Blackberry division couldn't clear up immediately.

I just can't have an iPhone. I bought my gf one Christmas of '07 and I've tried relentlessly to grow accustomed to typing on a screen. It's just not going to happen for me. I need a physical QWERTY keyboard.

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8100. I'm considering upgrading to a Curve 8900. So far I've enjoyed it. I wanted to try the G1, but T-mobile doesn't have 3g here. Apple does. So I'm thinking of getting an iPhone. The apps sound really cool.

I own neither (I never leave the house so it doesn't matter) but was playing with a friend's iPhone this weekend for the first time and I was stoked. I do like the full qwerty keyboard on the Blackberrys though.

Have both. iPhone with ATT and Blackberry world phone with Sprint. iPhone takes it hands down.

The facts are as follows:

*an iPhone is a more comprehensive gadget, and definitely carries more cachet in both pop-culture and mainstream life. Accordingly, an iPhone is simultaneously communal AND personal, with it's many capabilities for communication and entertainment.

*a Blackberry is a pragmatic, less-frills device that is more conducive to conducting 'real' business, such as emails and text access.

I personally use a Blackberry, probably because I am an email &text addict that doesn't have much use for or interest in onanistic applications. Thusly, I am slightly jealous of my iPhone-toting compadres;o)

Before you go through the hassle of switching carriers, you may want to give the G1 a try in spite of the lack of 3G (are there currently plans - or possibly even a date - that they will be rolling out 3G in your area?).

The G1 is Wi-Fi compatible (though no UMA, which is retarded since it's one of T-Mo's coolest features) so unless you're planning on sending/receiving lots of data when you're out and about, it likely won't be an issue for you.

But that's coming from a guy that refuses to configure work-related email through his phone since I'm already at the computer ~16 hours a day anyway. And (as crass as it may be to repeat it) I really only play with most of the apps I've installed while on the shitter.

Since my gf is tied to AT&T due to her precious iPhone I've been able to witness the fairly significant shortcomings of AT&T's customer service when compared against T-Mobile's. While no mobile provider is anywhere close to providing exceptional customer service, T-Mobile has rarely, if ever, displayed the often alarming level of ineptitude that seems to be AT&T's representatives' modus operandi.

That's reason enough for me to stick with T-Mo for as long as they keep their shit together. Before I went with T-Mo way back in '02 I was with Sprint and the level of idiocy that their CSRs displayed was so abysmal it seemed downright criminal.

iphone fo shizzzzzzzzzzz

so many applications, people love it, jailbreak, photos, bigger screen, touch, etc

Blackberry. If you insist on getting an iPhone there is supposed to be a new one coming out in June, might want to wait it out.

iPhone takes the cake. I have checked on campaigns in movie theaters at concerts at restaurants in club bathrooms in doc offices while car is getting worked on, and have many a time paused precipitous -roi ad spend on a dime, so this baby has paid for itself 10,000 times over.

And also you can read my iPhone Meet Toilet thread to find out that after being submerged in shit water for a half hour it will still work like new a week later. So yeah I have two now.

blackberry --> gentlemen
