Introduction

hy

my name is poolemit and i'm an affiliate marketer wannabe.

i will probably lurk mostly because i'd rather read than ask worseless questions.

the atmosphere here kicks ass and i find myself spending more time here than all other marketing forums combined.

Here is my experience, asking stupid questions will teach you more and will motivate you more than lurking.

Plus getting flamed here toughens you up! If you can take a WF flaming, then you can handle anything!

Well, maybe not anything, but a lot of abuse at least. :D

I'm Mitch - Hi All.

Ive read the survival guide and the 'worseness' thread (- is that guy due back soon?!) so hopefully Im ready for a quick intro....

I work in Manchester, UK for an agency managing several UK based aff programs. Part-time aff too but still finding my feet.
Will probably lurk for a while but will chip in everynow and then.
Was supposed to be heading to Vegas at end of this month but can't make it now (devastated) - but it would have been good to meet some of you guys.

Cheers

Welcome to WickedFire, Mitch! The original "worseless guy" is still around, but you might not know it. He's toned down a lot. Proof that people can change. But, don't worry, so other asshat will pop up soon and give us all something to laugh about :D

Enjoy the WickedFire experience!

Oh, didn't notice the Introduction Thread :)

So here we go: I'm a 22 year old college student from Germany, currently doing my internship in NYC. I've been "involved" with the internet for the last 7 years, though until recently I've been only creating the sites that other people used to make money ;p. After doing some jobs for Lee I kind of got interested into the whole "internet marketing" thing (or whatever you want to call it) and I decided to give it a try. Right now I'm only spending few hours a week trying some Arbitrage, but I hope to have a steady $xxx income from this in 3 months when I go back to finish my studies in Germany.

So that's me.

hey,

i'm 22 years old. i've been involved in internet marketing since a bit more than a year now. i love it, it's really a passion of mine. i'm making a bit of money but not quite the 10k a month that i want in the near future. i hope i can contribute to this forum and of course also learn from it.

so i better get started and post some more :)

hello, world

From reading other introduction posts in this threat it seems clear to me that, at 29, I'm oats that have been through the horse in comparison to most of the folks here. There's some truth to that, I suppose, as this industry has put me through the wringer. Ups, downs, you name it. Happily there've been far more 'ups'. Here's an emoticon :):)

Out of school in 1998, I started as a programmer at Netscape. Watching jackass sales guys make 10x what I did inspired me to partner up with a couple young, poor, enthusiastic folks to start a company. Then another one. Then I went off and worked with the gang at Az.oogle. Now (DISCLAIMER) i find myself living in Las Vegas, building offers for the gang at http://www.partnerweekly.com. Yes, living in Las Vegas!

I'll eventually start putting thoughts about affiliate marketing up on http://www.james11.com. Ever wonder what living in Vegas is like from a gristly canadian perspective? I post PG-13 censored notes (family read it...) on james kupka.ca - a Canadian in America's Playground

me -at- james11.com
aim: james11dotcom

be well,
-me

I'm a 24 year old with a web development and design backround. I run a succesful internet marketing company which is strictly white-hat, by the rules seo/m stuff. I work with government and fortune 500 companies.

I just started dabbling in the darker side of things for my own personal sites, and so I have a better understanding of where I can draw the line when working with clients that write me checks.

I'm looking forward to wickedfire helping me along the process.

New to WF....16 years old some experience in web design, starting out, studying at college :)

My name is Brad, and I live in Orange County California. I am a dual citizen of Canada and the US. I am 22 years old.

I worked for Bravenet.com back in 2001-2003
I've been promoting this-and-that for years, never really had anything hit big time.
I am married, drive a 2007 Audi A4 and have a condo.

I can program, design and market all myself but the right idea hasn't jumped out at me. I've tried parody sites, real sites like BlogSpry and Lpill.

I hope to work on a project that really takes off either from my own invention or with a partner. For now, just looking to help make some extra "beer" money as I get by just fine.
