Well, I've been dreading the first initial introduction post but I guess it's about time to just do it. I joined the board in Dec '08 so you're probably wondering why wait this long to introduce myself -- well, I blame all the guys on IRC who kept telling me to be careful on WF. After lurking for quite sometime, I am ready to really dive into IM and thus be a real member of the WF community --- hopefully. Along with that, my name is Melissa (as you could probably tell), I'm 26 and I live in Los Angeles, CA.

Hi, I am Gravytrain and I am new to this as well. I'm in Alabama and come from the other side of the tracks - associate - and really hope I can learn how to be a successful affiliate. Any tips, starting points, etc. are very, VERY much appreciated!

I'm 47 and am kinda forced into learning this stuff real quick, since I just got hired as the National Sales Manager for a company wanting to build their business through affiliates. I figure while I 'm helping them, why not learn both sides and have something of my own to fall back on. Any tips? Next question (sounds real stupid to yall that have been around, but here goes) What is a landing page, what is it for and why and when do you need one? Any help would be appreciated. (Every site I've looked at just assumes the reader already knows this stuff)
