I just signed on. I'm new to the Internet money community and I am already in a few other forums. Forums seem to be the best places to learn the no BS stuff.

Gonna look around a bit before I plunge in, but it looks awfully good around here.

Hello Everyone! I just joined and wanted to say hi!

I am a member of a lot of the other popular forums and thought i would join WF to meat some new people and learn a thing or 2.

I have been buying and selling domain names, and making money from adsense. I would like to learn more about affiliate marketing, particularly PPC.

My name is Amanda, I'm 22 and currently live just south of Atlanta. I've been making money online in various ways since I was 15, but I've been pretty lazy lately. Now I'm trying to build as much as I can and possibly save myself from having to go get a real job.

Besides the internet I love to drive around aimlessly, or ride my motorcycle when it's not sitting in the garage in a billion pieces which is most of the time. My goal is to make enough to buy a new one and use my EX as a track bike.

competition addict...

OK, here's my intro - I've been lurking for a while now, reading, learning & trying to apply the basics to learn more. The reason I've become interested in Internet Marketing is this: I'm a competition(contest) addict thru n' thru & enter every prize draw, tiebreaker, text, tv, radio, mag, postal, net or phone comp going etc etc - Last year I won £17,000 worth of prizes inc £4000 in shoes!!!(Dreams come true!)

Anyway, I realised that a lot of comps like voting etc are being dominated (&won) by spammers & hackers in the know, so instead of getting pissed about it, I just want to know how they do it.

So I decide I want to learn to code (just the basics) so I can write some scripts that will automate some of my entries. So my investigating leads me to Nickycakes blog, which leads me to Wickedfire, which leads me to 'Build your own SEO Empire' and now I'm totally hooked and finding I'm overloaded with info I want to learn, implement, attempt, learn and make money from - it is soooooOooo easy to go offtrack. The upshot is, I have not entered comps in weeks and I'm trying all this bitty (AM & IM) stuff to learn as much as poss. My family are confused & bemused that I've not been winning & I have to make some sort of schedule or plan to get thru the next few months & not lose track of the entries.

Anyway, here's a breakdown of the issues I'm struggling with so far, PM me if you can help with any of them:
1) I've set up basic blogs & sites on a few different hosts (All shared) 1&1, 000web890m, googlepages, hostgator - some of these are genuine sites with affiliate links & a few are autoblogs. The problem is WP-o-matic works on a couple of sites & on others I can't even get it set up at all, nothing but error pages, I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling different versions of WP but still nothing, could it be the server of the actual host? That would seem weird to me as the hosts offer auto implementation of WP.
2) Like I said, I want to learn basic code, so I'm starting with PHP & MySQL - there's great video tutorials at an aussie site I can't remember the name of but I have tried installing PHP & MySQL and cannot get a connector to install properly to make the two speak to one another, I've also tried WAMP setup but still the same problem. Could it be that I have some other software on my system interfering with the setup? I do know that Skype can interfere with the Port but I disconnected it and still the errors occurred - please point me in the direction of help!
3) Do you know of any existing programmes that help competition addicts/contest entrants with automating their entries? I use Roboform Companion for some of my daily entries and YouSendIt - Send large files - transfer delivery - FTP Replacement for some of the regular e-mail entries.
4) I read the (duplicate) posts about watermarking your YouTube vids & linking them to an affiliate offer to get free traffic from YouTube. It mentions watching out on the Warez&Shareware for music vids that are upcoming, can anyone tell me how I would do this? I'm totally ignorant when it comes to music, don't get me wrong, I do love listening to music & seem to like pretty much anything, but I never have much clue about artists & what's in the charts etc. so I really wouldn't know what was about to be the next big hit.
5) Proxies - OK, this is something I need to know about, but am getting by on total guesswork. I have found a couple of proxy sites you can go to and from there you can search sites but I have found this method to be really slow and many elements of the sites won't be visible, for example the sign up page in facebook. I have installed FoxyProxy & a Tor Enabled but the only reason I think this is working is that I visited my bebo login page on Internet Explorer (& then my laptop) to get my genuine IP, then when I logged into Bebo on my Firefox through the Tor Enabled & FoxyProxy Tor, the IP had changed. If the way I'm doing it is proxifying me and I am showing fake IP addresses to the sites I'm visiting, how often do the IP addresses change? The reason I ask, is this; if I am to access my web emails & click on links within my web emails, (each link is to the same destination) I want each link to trigger a different IP address, will this be happening with my current setup or would I have to close the webpage and relogin to my webmail account before clicking on the next link? (Hope that makes sense!)

Anyway, reckon that's all my questions now, I hope my Questions won't be lost in this intro thread but I didn't want to start up my own intro thread with all these Q's for fear of being flamed, but flame away if that's what it takes to be accepted into this community. If you genuinely can help me out though, please PM me or start another thread with the answers. Lookin forward to learning & earning.

Kirsty

HI, I'm Terry from the UK and I have a few websites up and running with one of them at the top of Google in a pretty big niche. It makes me some money but not nearly enough so maybe I can learn some money-spinning tricks from this forum.

Like most of you I have realised that there is a lot of bullshit to wade through on the IM scene and that it takes a lot of work to make a success of anything, unless you are a lucky SOB.

I'm glad that this forum is a no-bullshit zone.

A Yankees fan in Boston? How do your neighbors handle that? lol

Anyways I'm Russ, 22, and had a friend introduce the website to me. I've got a content site in the works and is really looking to try out the local affiliate marketing methods mentioned in the http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate-marketing/16559-easy-way-make-100k-year.html thread

Great forum, been hooked since the first time visiting.

Hi,

I´m a 20 years old finnish guy. Been doing marketing sites for couple of years. Last year found some nice niches and made decent money. Before that it was mostly for the fun of it.

Now I´m going to do some sites in english, just to test my skills.
