I'm about to lose all my iPhone data! Help!!!

This Friday ain't looking good so far.

Last night I plugged my iPhone to my laptop (usually I just charge it on the wall) and it asked if I wanted to upgrade to iOS5, so I clicked yes... went to bed, this morning I find out that my iTunes has jammed in the middle of the fucking process. I restarted the computer and now iTunes won't even start! It gives me an error message when it starts.

WTF do I do? My iPhone won't even work (It keeps asking me to plug it to iTunes)... but like I said iTunes won'e start on my laptop anymore.

I tried to plug it to iTunes on my other computer (a desktop) but then it says that the iPhone is in "Restore Mode" or some shit like that and I can restore it to factory default (and lose all my data in the process). I guess it's because I never synced my iphone with the desktop PC before.

What do I do? Is there a way to get my iPhone data from the iTunes on my laptop and transfer it to the iTunes on my desktop?

Uninstall/reinstall iTunes? System restore? You have a lot of options, and I'm pretty certain iTunes isn't "permanently broken" on your laptop. There has to be a way to get it to run.

If I uninstall and reinstall iTunes wouldn't I lose my iPhone backup data?
