Playing Quake 3 with my friends and cousins through LAN was some of my happiest childhood moments. I was the master at capture the flag, no one could stop me when I picked up the Rail Gun or BFG. bwaahha! :bowdown::D
 


It's not the gaming... it was the *people* there. My hubby played WoW for 18 hours a day for 2 years and was paid to game while he was in the Marines, so I am not allowed to trash gaming. :p

Lan parties are fun, I usually win at them (I got about $500 worth of stuff over the course of last year at the school sponsored events). I was even majoring in game design before I started internet marketing.

If you think quakecon is big, you should head over to norway for The Gathering They rent out a hockey stadium for a 3 day long nerd fest hehe.
