Long but true story

Alright listen this is true story no bullshit so I can shed some light on this peddle stuff.

I had 08 Tacoma... 20k miles or so. v6 model pretty beastly for a little truck no doubt.

One day on the highway, I punch the peddle I don't know why. I just like to get a little rush here and there. :)

But yes the mother fucking peddle stuck! I was going from 65-105mph out of control for the most part, cause ad I said its pretty damn snappy truck.

Well because I was already try to punch it a little bit I didn't even fucking realize it was stuck till like 80-90mph. I just started pounding the fucking peddle thinking it would come loose cause the thing was really stuck. I was bugging like wtf mother fucking bullshit.

This was a fully loaded rocket going 105... Stuck peddle accelerating.

I had to make a decision fucking fast so I just started slamming the break super fucking hard like my damn life depended on it cause it did!

Engine fighting the breaks was like going threw an earth quake or something the whole thing was shaking violently meanwhile the engine is redlining applying power the whole time.

By the time I was down to 40mph from my super man breaking I got the idea to put in neutral.

So I put the thing in neutral. Seemed like the only option. Keep jamming the break till I get close to a dead stop in the middle of serious highway, not so much by choice but I couldn't control this fucking thing only keep it strait.

Knowing that my ass my could get rear ended just sitting there where people are going 75. the second I was down to like 10mph I started prying at the paddle with my hand. While I was still steering. with the other.

So yeah it was a huge WTF WTF WTF!!!!!!! type moment.

Of course now that the peddle was not stuck I took off so I didn't get hit. Checked it out.

Honestly I thought it was the floor mat because I had after market mats in there.

But after seeing this I really think its a combination of the two. The faulty peddle DESIGN and the mats. Seemed to me the peddle was very close to touching the mat when pressing the peddle. More so than it should be fore sure.

So yeah I wanted a little acceleration rush. I got it that day!

It was a company truck of someone I'm really not so fond of, so not at all worried about damage etc. But that truck will never be the same after that! Not healthy!

Also didn't see it on list posted above but the Tacoma's are having a recall as well from my brief look into it.

I just saw on the news that it's definitely NOT a floormat/pedal issue, but a computer issue. A few of the 911 calls that came in from people before they died stated that the pedal was moving up and down, but didn't do anything.

Why are they calling 911 instead of braking, shifting into neutral, or turning the car off? Natural selection?
