I think it's time to quit my job.

Am I the only one on this forum that doesn't have any more than $500 a month in bills?

How much is your rent?

How much do you buy in grocery, any tips on a frugal, healthly menu?

Also, have you ever considered living in your van.

I just moved into a new condo (Springfield, MO) and my brother decided to move in with me. The rent is $620/month and I pay $275 (gave him the bigger bedroom). The bedroom I have now is about as big as the studio apartment I lived in before this... anyway, this is what I have in bills (just personal, not business):

Rent - $275
Internet -$0 Included with condo
Cable - $0 Included with condo
Electric - $30
Car Insurance - $14
Gas - $15 (I drive less than 3,000 miles a year)
Phone - $0 (I use Google Voice w/ Gizmo5 and a Google G1 with Sipdroid)
Food - $150-$250 (I'm not really frugal with food, just buy what I want)

And live in a van? No way. I'd live in my hammock (not me but same hammock).

How exactly does your phone setup work? I just got my Google Voice account.

That is a sweet setup. But how the fuck do you exist on $150 of food per month?

150-250 a month in food . . . eating ramen all the time?

Sorry, I may just be jealous versus my grocery bill . . .

Christ, I'm in my 30's and just getting my feet wet in AM. Now I fuckin' feel like Mickey Rooney.

I'm 34 now, and I only started getting serious about AM a little over a year ago. For this game, age doesn't matter...just the drive to get the job done.

efeezy, if worst comes to worst, just live in a van. It's cool.

My wife would probably have something to say about that.

damn... good luck... i must be greedy... i can't quit that day job despite doing more then 7k in profit a month... but im in nyc... so 7k isnt much :)

You're not greedy. I live in California, so we're equally as expensive as NY, if not more. Ideally I'd like to be making about $12K a month. My wife makes about $80K a year, so we'd be getting the mortgage paid down and getting ahead pretty quickly.

I figure I've got close to $6000 in money going out every month with a $2400 / mortgage, couple of car payments, insurance, some credit cards, normal utilities, food etc.

I'm located in Riverside CA, and I live on 3k a month.

850 utilities and rent.
400 food
200 "recreations"
200 car payments plus insurance

What ever I don't spend on random crap goes to pay down the Credit Cards

(btw that 3k monthly is off of client work not AM.)

Yo quittin' yo job to do AM full time at home?

So you won't be gone most of the time?

Damn, I gotta find a new day lay!

We'll it looks like it's going to happen earlier than I had thought. More changes around here...new bullshit schedule with more hours, evenings & weekends and no mention of more pay. I'm getting paid on Wednesday and that will be my last day here...I'm not giving notice.

They wouldn't give me any notice if I got fired..and I don't feel like dealing with the attitude that comes along with everyone knowing you'll be gone in a week.

I'm ready to make the leap and start concentrating on making some big progress in my AM earnings. Here goes nothin.
