I need a new phone...

Another vote for the G1. I love mine. A few of my friends have an IPhone, and so far I haven't found a single thing that the IPhone can do that my G1 can't. Plus, having an actual keyboard is nice. Aaaaand, open source rocks.

ok so - sprint and verizon are both CDMA, is there a way via firmware hacks to bring the Pre to verizon? if so that'd be a big deal.

I have heard numerous friends say that they had to send their blackberries in for repair. Believe it or not, the iphone seems to be sturdier based on what i've heard from friends.

It all really depends on whether of not you want a touch screen.

I live in a semi-bad ATT area and its still worth it to have the iphone. The phone just rocks.

Anyone have the HTC Ozone? Considering upgrading to it or possibly the 3g blackberry tour. To the op, the Ozone might be another alternative to consider.

I had one of these for my first 20 days at sprint. Is it not super laggy for you? I also had a problem with sliding part getting loose. I switched to the Palm Pre once it came out and it is fuckin baller.

I suggest getting a Palm Pre, I've had it for a few weeks and I love it

Had to change some settings that made it lag, runs really smooth

Does palm pre support Windows Remote Desktop?

iPhone..."there's an App for everything"...the biggest problem I have with android and blackberry there is a lack of applications right now...also I like multiple touch...another thing the blackberry and g1 do not do...AT&T has just as good of coverage as verizon but ther customer support is beyond horrible...That's what I miss most after switching from verizon...I love the iPhone cause there is so many apps for everything...but it also lacks a lot of features everyphone should...i also use the 3g and it's pretty slow, not sure about the new one but I think that should still be faster...also safari browser is much better that opera or any others I have used...pinch zooming online is so much nicer that double tapping...AT&T 3g data speeds are as advertised, at least in the nj area...

htc touch pro... or wait like a month or two and touch pro 2 from sprint and tmobile.

Verizon's version of touch pro is cut short of ram and runs slow so don't buy TP1 from V.

Windows mobile is beyond anything because of the underground roms that people make. The customization is there. Touch pro is a little laggy out of the box. But with some customization its on point.

htc touch pro 2 I think will be the phone to have, over everything.

I can personally recommend the iPhone, however I was lucky to get one for free. I played with my friends G1 and it's pretty badass.

i'd recommend an iphone if it wasn't on shitty AT&T. worst network ever. I hope they come over to verizon, and it's more likely when both AT&T and Verizon switch to LTE for their network type.

I heard some *cough* rumors *cough* from an employee at apple store that Verizon and Apple are working out an agreement right now and that Verizon will host iphones in the near(ish) future.

I wouldn't think too soon since verizon uses CDMA and basically the rest of the world uses gsm...they would have to redesign the main part of the phone...I also remember hearing something about apple coming out with some type of netbook/big iPod touch for verizon...not sure though
