How to make $ with a fun site?

Hi * anyone knows how to make some bucks with a "funny pictures" site?

I am using Adbrite now but it makes maybe 1$ a month ;) - ok, it just gets max. 150 visitors and 1000 views a day... is there a way to make maybe 10/m $ or so with such (crap?) traffic?

Maybe I should sell some antidepressant pills on that site? ;)
 


have your tried Adsense and zip submit banners?! You can slap some geo-targeted adult dating banners also ... Just a few ideas :)
 
have a "link to this picture" code at the bottom of each picture. The code should be like <img src="yourpicsite.com/pic=333"><small a href="anothersiteofyours.com">widgets</a></small>

That way you'll use this site to generate links to your other sites, rather than for making money out of them. If one of these visitors links to your pics each day, then you get 30 links a month - that could be worth more than $10 if they're inadvertently linking to a money site you're trying to boost in Google.
 
Im not sure but I think zacjohnson.com made a post about making money with funny sites.

In the other hand I used to own a couple of this sites and this is how I was making some decent money with them:

CPM Networks (I used Valueclick & CPX with OK results)
Adsense (Be carefoul. If you have bikinis or rated content I would avoid using AS)
Aff (made a decent amount of money)
Webfetti (3% conversions only. but still a good option for fun sites)
Tshirts (affiliate links selling funny tshirts)

Thats how you I used to monetize my funny sites. If you have good traffic you can make some decent cash.

Since I dont own the sites anynmore I can tell you that you at the time I was making $9 - $11 per thousand visitors using all thos programs and for tfunny type of traffic I think that is decent.
 
if you don't know PHP and curl. Learn PHP and curl.

thats really good!

have you ever heard of ctrl-c and ctrl-v?

maybe if ya did that about 100 times.

don't want to post to all the places you put your links to promote your first site.

thats where PHP with CURL comes in handy.

don't sit on your bum..... take 5 hours out to learn some of it!

then you can just automate all that other stuff you did to your first site.

you can even do things if you know how to use a bit of linux to automatically watermark videos.

videos are really good ways to promote funny sites.






the best kind of thing I have had with these sites is the email submits that offer things like an IQ test (although this is getting increasingly worn out) or a game, or even better something like a McDonalds voucher.

Copeac has a good reputation IMHO, they have a few good email submits that would be good for a site like this.
 
^^^Actually I forgot to menction zango, for funny sites they perform well^^^

But they are better for celebrity, wallpaper graphics kind of sites....

I know they dont have very good reputation. But sill they can make some $$$ with high traffic..
