Despite the way people act in here sometimes, this isn't the supreme court. Linking to wikipedia isn't meant as concrete proof of anything, but it's usually the easiest way to show an overview of something, and over 99 percent of the time it is accurate. Even if you ignore the main entry and just skip straight to the references, it is still a valuable resource.
agreed - Wikipedia is useful - but I still feel like the world is on its way to the point where all knowledge is hearsay.
Also I am ditching this thread because it has taken too much time - everyone has made their points and I am not going to explain the sphere/horizon/arch/expanse again.
The Bible is not a Science book nor is it a Text book. Christians believe it is God communicating to Man about righteousness and having a relationship with Him - not science.
