agreed - Wikipedia is useful - but I still feel like the world is on its way to the point where all knowledge is hearsay.


Also I am ditching this thread because it has taken too much time - everyone has made their points and I am not going to explain the sphere/horizon/arch/expanse again.

The Bible is not a Science book nor is it a Text book. Christians believe it is God communicating to Man about righteousness and having a relationship with Him - not science.
 


There are many good Catholics but the religion itself is corrupted to the core and is responsible for millions of deaths throughout history. They burned millions of bibles, tortured and killed tens of millions of Christians as well as just random people they deemed heretics.

Check out foxes book of martyrs if you want to see what people suffered through so everyone could freely access the bible, it's crazy. Even Yah's apostles died brutal deaths and never renounced faith.

Christianity was corrupted long ago by the Roman emperor Constantine who merged it with pagan traditions (christmas (winter solstice), easter (ishtar), SUNday worship) etc.

The book of revelations calls the Catholic church the whore of Babylon, couldn't be more true. According to rev. they will help usher in the antichrist and beast system.

Also the Catholic church had it's hands in the founding of Islam, another false religion. When Muhammed was in his own worlds 'being haunted' by what he thought was demon his first wife Khadija (a catholic) introduced him to a nun who told him it was the angel gabriel and that he was divinely chosen. The rest is history.

Religion is like a penis...
It's okay to have one.
It's okay to be proud of it...
But it's not okay to wave it around in public, loudly proclaiming its the only one or the best one.
And it's definitely not okay to ram it down anyone's throat who didn't ask for it!!!!!
