in Windows Movie Maker, is there a way to add a gif image over the top of the video? like, in the bottom corner how some sites have their .com, I want to add mine to the opposite corner. Any idea how to do that in windows movie maker?

add title or credits, set text, then go to video effects and place on bottom, add title and credits to line

5. Extend the title over the length of your movie.
You can adjust the position of the logo by modifying the LogoRect

If you had a watermark in a font then you could alter the transparency of the text using the Transparency slider in the title font and size window.

Why complicate things, I just told you haw to do it in movie maker without trying to be some sort of code wizard,
click on Make "Title Or Credits" / "Title On Selected Clip", write your title, adjust size and place right, left or center, now click on "Change Title Animation and click on "Subtitle On Bottom", your good to go click add title and drag the title to the length you wish it to show on the time line.
