i tried many methods but my ctr is .14
how to increase it
do anybody knows some site with info about ctr

Depends on what kind of site you're running, if you're running an image hosting site or file hosting site expect low ctr. Of course there are ways you can optimize it but in general you won't see the same ctr as content sites.

Butt it up against where users are most likely to look. Right beside content, where the user is used to reading, in example. So you put it on the left side of your main content column, right where they're used to starting to read.

If he really tried many methods, then who knows what the problem might be. And we don't know what kind of ad we're talking about either.

or what kind of ads? everyone is assuming it is adsense but if it is general affiliate banners the problem could be one of relevance, in addition to placement etc

1) Putting the ads with no text nearby results in random ads that have nothing to do with your site. Why would people click them?

2) You will need to spend some time changing the look of the ad and moving the pics closer if you're trying to achieve what I think you are. You read that people put images next to ads to increase ctr right? Well that's by putting them very close and removing the borders from the google ads.

3) It might be just me but if I go to a site and at the top of the page is an ad and I can't read any of the content, I'm just going to scroll past right away. Maybe try putting a horizontal ad underneath your first post. Or try wrapping your post text around the square ad box if that's what you want

The small image syou have next to the ads point to Imageshack's website. You should get rid of those links but keep the images.
And like Payton said, definitely get rid of the borders around the Google ads.

I'd definitely put that first ad box inside of your top post instead of above it. And like others said, lose the borders.

Experiment, measure and log. You can only improve what you can measure.
  • Record the CTR and clicks for one week. (You should have the starting week in your log data already)
  • Change ad. (only one value at a time, like color, border, placement, probably starting with placement)
  • Rinse, Repeat.
Relax, when it changes for the worse, it is normally obvious after a few days, not a full week.

I did that with AFF ads and had some nice insights.
Free tip here: NEVER reduce the thumbnail size. ;)
