I started a site like mide january of this year. Its a football/soccer forum. At the moment i got like 5k posts and 75 members. I would like to know how basics on how to get well known and get members joining and getting good on google.

Be a visible, active contributing administrator and incubate trust between you and your members. Try to make friends with your members and eventually select some Mods to do the work for you.
