Interesting test!

I could hear 15KHz well, 16KHz a little, but not 17KHz at all. My mom could only hear the 8K. Seems it works well.

Theres a good chance the mp3/aac encoding removed higher frequencies anyway...

Not saying it has, would have to check though.

I'm surprised that I can hear 16khz. I've used headphones at high volumes more than I'd care to admit, and I've been making an effort to stop doing that.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4G60hM1W_mk]Hearing Test - YouTube[/ame] loose this one at 5khz. I remember getting a hearing test in high school and they were like telling me to raise my hand and I just sat there.. lol

Hear 16k clearly, 17k was very almost gone. It was a weird can somewhat feel it, and kinda hear it sort've deal. 18k couldn't hear anything.

I'm 22, hearing was decimated by metal on a weekly basis (concert levels) through a few years of my teens.

My name is Jenny, i am sixteen, I have blonde hair, and you cant stop reading, you have already started!! I was murdered 7/14 with my father's shotgun and a butcher knife. If you don't post this to 20 other WF / BHW / DP / WaFo threads, I will come and kill you in the middle of the night and delete all of your websites. You have five hours. Don't believe me? There is a phone app out there that does the hearing test, too. The kids at school like to download it and then annoy each other with it. It blows their minds that I can hear it, too - even though I'm not "supposed to" since I'm old. (33 is positively ancient to most teens). The funniest thing is that it seems to happen at least once per year and every kid seems to think he's the first to ever try it. But that's true of so many things...

Maybe decimated is the wrong word. My ears hear 200hz-10khz after years of musical bombardment and I'm not even an old fart although my kids would disagree. Now that's decimated.
