How NOT to buy a PR8 at auction

It pays to do a background check on the domain I suppose :)

It's not that hard - although a tool that could do all the test automatically would come in handy.

wow thats one seriously brand-able short snappy domain name!!!

It happens.

Someone a few months back spent $15k on a PR 7 domain that was 301'd to some government site.

Turns out hes trying to rank for easy comp keywords in italian... the guy bought like 200 high powered domains trying to rank keywords that would probably take 5 PBN links.

Too much money for their own good
 
The ultra high end SEO agencies that are making $50m+ per year drive the prices up on these auctions like crazy. They turn over $20-50k per month to brokers just for the domains, so the brokers want to make sure they spend that whole budget.

Incentives, y'all.
