I am making enough that I can stay home with my infant and play all day. I'm making enough so that my husband could quit his job (although then we would have to have a budget and I love not really having a budget)

When my baby is over a year, (and I feel better about getting a nanny for him) I'm going to jump back in with a vengeance and the goal is to double the income.

Two groups here....those making 3 figures a day using PPC and those making less than that using Bum Marketing ? (probably)

Based on the poll responses, about 2/3s are making $400 or less so you could say most are making 3 figures. You can't take an average because there are too many people at the extremes that would mess it up. You could probably say what people have said before: there is a huge group of people who are moderately successful - I would count even 100$ profit a day as a success and a slightly smaller group that is ridiculously successful (anything more than $1k a day).

Don't say that $1k a day is not a lot. My day job pays about $70k a year, my "daily" earnings from it, post taxes, are around $115-125.

There's no reason why you can't. Just keep working at it. This industry has a way of rewarding hard work. The more time you put in, generally, the more you get out of it.

You just have to find a good campaign and ramp it up. Keep testing, keep trying new things; new ad copy, etc. etc. Don't give up. You'll get to $1k/daily before you know it.

Isostar13, totally agree. For those of us with high paying day jobs, we know it's comfortable to live on 70k-80k a year alone. Our daily day job earnings amount to $150 a day. Throw our affiliate earnings with that, its like working 3 or 4 day jobs @ 70k a year each.

I think most affiliates who wish to be making 1k a day or are making 1k a day are students and never had proper day job.

is being a student an advantage or disadvantage in your mind?

redmonkey is right, it doesn't matter if you're a student or not. The only advantage to having a job is the income which helps supplement your affiliate habit. It can be tough getting a start as a student, especially if you don't have any money to begin with, but that's obvious.

I think there a bit of advantage in terms having more time to do affiliate marketing when you're a student. My time is tied up from 8am to 7pm with my day job. when I was a student (i didn't know about aff marketing back then), I had more time after and in between classes during the day.

yeah as a student now, I spend 3-4 hrs in class a day and probably study another 3-4 hrs. thats only 8 hrs MAX that i am doing school related activities. 16 hrs to do whatever i want (i wanna sleep 7 hrs). so 9 hrs where i am technically "free". of course certain things come up where you dont have a lot of free time, but there is plenty of time in the day. the only disadvantage is i dont have any $$ to begin with, hopefully that will change though

What's amazing to me is the new standard for a "big" affiliate. As a network, we have really seen the change. The poll amounts definitely need to be updated. Superaffiliate used to mean 100k a month. Now it is 100k a day.

how much of the 100k is profit?

This is the most reassuring statement I have ever read here, at a time when the hard work of so many lands them on the unemployment line.

I have seen a doubling in income over time, after much hard work, although it amounts to chump change. As long as it keeps increasing exponentially I should do very well.

So far I'm operating at a loss, but this is a great business to be in, and very happy to be here.

Ive been on this site for 2 years. When i first got on here 1k a day was considered a lot. Now its not that big of a deal.
Plenty of people here now are doing 5 figures a day. It just keeps growing.
