How many foodies here?

I'm actually really surprised by how many foodies we have here. I started the thread after drinking a good amount of wine and getting drunk and watching "No Reservations". I love eating food. I love cooking food. I love discovering new food.

I know some people take the term "foodie" as being hipster, but I am personally not a hipster. Nor are their that many around here, so I understand if you like, live in San Fran and have a bunch of fag hipsters around there. I get it.

But foodie is the technical term, I guess, for those who love food. Want to cook new food. Love food because it's beautiful, and not because it's made by McDonalds.

An engineered burger from Burger King doesn't normally fit the foodie mind set.

Veggie Foodie here ...

Being a vegetarian my menu are short but would love to try every thing which come under the category of Vegetarian Food.

I'm not against Vegetarian, well I mean I am against it full time, but would eat vegetarian dishes. If you have any really good ones, post em!

Not sure I like the term, but I'm definitely in.

I love finding the authentic, mom-and-pop restaurants from other countries.

Cooking is so relaxing and awesome. Just a few days ago I made a white bean puree sandwich that was so good it made me never want to use mayo again.

It was kind of a hybrid of these recipes...and it turned out AWESOME. I actually did four different versions at the same time to compare. Brought some friends over to help, had some booze, good times.

So which did you find to be the best? It's not something I would normally eat but would totally try it.

I really dislike the term "Foodie." It's like for the hipsters of food.

"I was eating Kale chips before they were cool."

But besides that, I definitely like trying new food from different cultures. I lived with 3 guys from India in Florida a couple summers ago and got to try everything. Curry, Upma, Chicken that was spicy as FUCK...

But yeah, I'm up for trying anything new.

Are you saying you were a foodie before hipsters decided it was popular? So meta.

I'm a foodie. Just got back from a foodie blogger's conference in Florida.

well this would be the biggest sentence to show m the biggest foodie, "MORE THAN ME I LOVE FOOD, YES I LOVE ME LESS AND LOVE MY FOOD MORE"

Not me, no way. Food is something I put in my stomach when it asks. It's fuel, there's some I like and some I don't but I don't really go out of my way for it.
