I think you're still misunderstanding. I understand the risks of blackhat SEO. But what we ordered was not what was provided. It was not done correctly.

Again, fuck the permit from the city. It's like asking someone to build a deck for you, and instead having them bulldoze your house and saying woops, sorry bro, here's 1% of your houses value, good luck.

I don't really know how to make it any more clear than that. If he had set it up correctly, the way he said he would, and we lost ranking, i wouldn't be pissed at all. But this is completely different.

You're entitled to nothing more than a refund.

Unless the service you paid for guaranteed higher rankings and that your rankings don't drop you can only blame yourself in the end. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, but that's how it looks from an objective outsider.

According to Desha's reply. It was DOS initially and then turned to be a DDOS.

The problem with DDOS is, since it comes from too many IPs as if genuine requests, it's hard to detect and stop the attacking IPs. This is the only reason that makes DDOS difficult to defend.

The fallacy in your argument is that getting a deck built on your house is not equatable to hiring someone to build black hat links for your website. A better analogy would be hiring someone to build a grow op in your basement, that person not concealing things properly, and you getting busted for growing weed in your house. Sure, there might have been some negligence, but either way, you are taking a risk by building something shady.

Truthfully, any business service should have a contract if you want to protect yourself. You say having a T&C like it's a bad thing. In fact, it's pretty fucking stupid to do business with someone without some form of a contract (though obviously most services on wickedfire don't do this).

To answer your questions -- neither the bounce rate nor site speeds on my server have changed. My site's content was 100% unique and very high quality -- and the other sites on the first page for my keywords were much shittier, lower quality content. So the fact that they are still up right now makes me pretty confident that it was not panda -- and it was the wrong anchors coming from >150pgs of duplicate content. I think Pasha would agree with me as well.

It's clear that you haven't read what I've said. It wasn't a matter of buying links and having those links end up sandboxing my site. It was a matter of him doing the links with:

1. The wrong anchor text
2. To the wrong pages
3. On 3x duplicate content

Again, it's not like I bought a link package that was legit and it unfortunately dropped our rank. It was that the link package was put together incorrectly and fucked shit up.

And AGAIN, I would not have any issue if it was done correctly and our site got messed up - then there's no liability on Deshea. But when the packages are done incorrectly due to blatant negligence, then there is a problem.

I also never asked for monetary damages from Deshea, he offered it up front and I accepted it. I thought it was cool of him to offer that, because I know that most providers here would not do something like that. Even with that said though, it doesn't change the fact that my site is still currently fucked.

But Panda wasn't perfect and many good sites got hit too with lots of junk taking their place.

And I've never heard of or seen duplicate content bringing sites down. If anything it just doesn't get indexed/valued.

Shit happens guys. Deshea seems like a legit, honest service provider. Maybe he fucked up a link package or two. That happens, and if you've been in the industry for any length of time then you should know this.

This game comes with risks, if you can't deal with that then you're in the wrong business. Those risks include anything from being fucked over by service providers, being fucked over by google, being raped by pedobear while you sleep, and *gasp* even having link packages done incorrectly.

DDOS, however, is not in the same league as "shit happens." DDOS is in the league of FBI-kick-your-fucking-door-down illegal.

And claiming that off-page SEO lowered your rankings means nothing without lots of fucking data -- and even then, still pretty meaningless due to the nature of search engine algorithms, and Google.

Deshea is getting bombared by DDOS attacks and all you have to complain about is one of your shitty-ass websites losing rankings? Nigga please, gtfo.
