How do you advertise in non-English speaking countries?

Do you still write your ads in English (assuming its Western Europe where everyone speaks English) or do you hire someone to write them for you in the native language?

If you outsource it: How do you deal with the fact that you don't really know what's being written. Sure you can put it in google translate, but you still don't really know the tone/inflection of the words in your ad. You don't really know what's persuasive, funny, cheesy, eye catching, boring etc. in another language.

If you write them in English: How do you deal with the fact that you're writing English ads to non-native speakers who may not get the same tone/inflection etc. who may understand your ad copies differently than you intend?

Just been thinking about this because I'd like to start advertising some shit in non-English speaking countries (read: less competition)

sounding akward do not hurt conversions;) or yes, onehourtranslation.com (never used though)

You can try to use Google translate and hire one or two natives for reading the correction instead of writing the whole article from scratch. Should save money and time..

How about using google translate first, and when you get something working to a degree, then you could hire some one to make it better?

don't be cheap and just find someone on fiverr who speaks that language.

onehourtranslation is quick cheap and efficient. You can write a note to the translator as well so if you want to keep the text informal for example just put that in there.
