I agree with the others. Another thing you can do is create content on social media (for example YouTube and TikTok are easy to blow up on if you somehow match the algorithm) then place links in the description. However, this is a very time-consuming process, and you really have to know your audience.
If I could add to what I've already said, a few points you need to consider with your traffic is how organic you want it to be. Traffic, in its entirety, is determined by what type of site you're trying to market because every single domain type has a different method of marketing. Say, for example, you are marketing a dropshipping store on Shopify (if you don't know what that is, you can check
this out).
Depending on what scale you are going for, SEO, PPC, content creation, social media marketing, influencer marketing, email marketing, and the like can range from around $500+ to as much as $5k per month. This is but a rough estimate of how your marketing strategy could go or range to.
The good thing about marketing is it's one of the aspects of business that's completely versatile. Using one of the abovementioned example, the most appropriate marketing strategy for a dropshipping store would be a mixture of SEO, PPC, and maybe a little bit of socmed marketing to boost organic traffic. Considering all the different factors involved, I'd personally allocate a budget of $1k-$2k on this with a store that has a centralized niche. This is assuming that you have your product descriptions aligned, you're already aware of your business model, and you have a vast knowledge of your product itself in order to angle the marketing scheme properly.
After years of experience, I now know that with the
right resources, selling on Shopify and other e-commerce platforms is not easy, not in any sense, especially if you're just starting out, but it can be a manageable venture once the right procedure and process is followed.
