No seriously, it works! Just think creatively. Find something that solves a problem in a hungry market. Drive traffic to it, don't think google is the only traffic source. There are TONS of ways to drive traffic.

I started out as an affiliate for adult sites. Each day I would go to al4a.com and find the best two pic galleries. I'd steal all the content (yeah... I thought everything was free. I was kind of an asshole without knowing it.) and then make my own galleries with it, then would submit them both to thehun.com
Once I got hosting that could handle ~150k unique visitors a day, I was in business.

Back in about 2003 I copied one of the top Clickbank "make money" products, made my version a little better, then I dominated that niche for the next 2 years and banked pretty hard. Before that I sold a site to the late Corey Rudl for $400k but I don't really count that as it was, well, only 400k.
By making a video game review site when I was ~14. Stuck up adsense, site made a few bucks, sold it for $400 and started another site. Cycle's pretty much continued since. (Except now the figures are thankfully considerably larger than $400)
A friend and I used to steal nudie image collections of girls from the internet and then sell them as digital goods on eBay by showing a teaser pic or two. Worked like crazy back then.
