I found out about wickedfire.com from seobook.com. It was in Aaron Wall's bitching about sitepoint's John Conde's post.

I knew about it via Dayjober's signature on another forum that kind of reads "Since most of the members of that forum are stupid, let's call it STUPIDFIRE from now on".

I met Jon at SMX east in NYC a few weeks ago w/ Oilman, Streko and a few others outside some bar after polishing off a handful of Carbombs! Figured since I'm going to start taking aff marketing seriously I'd better go where the guru's are ;)

I was wandering around few other affiliate forums, but I got quickly tired of all those "make million dollars in one day" bullshit. I started to ask myself if there is some cynical community out there like Somethingawful that is related to affiliate marketing, since I'm like that as well.

Few searches here and there and, at last, I found Wickedfire by typing "assholes affiliate forum" in Google and I am blessed since then.

Well I asked a friend who i met on DP and than added on MSN on what wuz the best AM forum that can help me be succesfull he has been to and of course i dont get banned for saying fuck like that fucking DP useless ass!!and he recommender wicked fire and i guess you guys still have fucking great info ! don't ever sell the forum JON

Just trying to get a better idea for a new marketing campaign.. So tell us, How and/or Where did you hear about us? Pick an answer from the poll, and reply back with as much detail as possible (for you older members, try and remember that far back..). But try and leave your tranny stories out of it.
I have been under the impression that WickedFire is one of the premier Affiliate Forums solely because my former associate felt it was absolutely necessary to be a part of this community and this would be an excellent community to exchange knowledge about Affiliate Marketing. I am looking forward to being an asset to this affiliate forum and I would share whatever information that I have learned.

Call me loser, but I was over at digital point and I noticed one of your google ads, though I must say it was a while ago.

Now I only go back there to sell my Ebooks :p

I was trying to learn about affiliate marketing after reading about it on (and yes, I am ashamed to say it) John Chow's blog.

I think I googled something along the lines of "basic guide to affiliate marketing", which took me to Uber's aff marketing basics, which had a link to a wickedfire post in it.
