Ditto what LazyHippy said.

Some random affiliate marketing related google search landed me here and I've been lurking, reading and learning ever since. That was a few months ago.

I can't remember what phrase I searched for that lead me here. Bad memory - getting old. :)

I decided to clean out my inventory and went looking on Google for "buy sell trade webmaster forums"

But it looks like you're going to be stuck with me. :rasta:

Well, I heard Wickedfire from a couple places but I could only choose one from the poll :p

But I heard about it on a couple of blogs (can't remember which ones), a couple of forums but a friend told me that this forum is very helpful and convinced me to join :)

I think in a good way...

I was reading a comment line about a super affiliate blogger today and one of the comments said the blog writer was already being bad mouthed on wickedfire so I figured I would have to check out this fine establishment:eek:

Just wanted to say hey guys. Long time lurker. First time poster. Hope to be reading a lot more and getting ot know the forums. I found out about this site from Jon's blog that someone happened to recommend awhile back

Found out about Wickedfire

I had been sharing an avatar with my business partner who is really into the site and we've both been asking questions as they came up. So, it's totally a direct referral.

I love the site....it has a ton of useful info...

Yeah you struck me as a 'super affiliate' dick riding chump.
Makes sense!

Homo.

Dee Power wrote an article in July's The Writer encouraging writers to check out forums like this one and respond to promising posts in their marketplace section. WickedFire is one of 12 listed forums.

I found this place through another forum (not affiliate marketing related) where the subject came up very briefly. He said he made like 10k a month on it and I told him I made 18 DOLLARS on it in spite of tens of thousands of ad impressions. Obviously I'm "doing it wrong."

He suggested I search for "super affiliate blog" and go from there. Well, through what I think was the first natural result, I found a link here.

I like it here. It cuts through the eBook BS and I've seen frank talk of failures and ways to improve results.

All that and I'm still not sure if this is the place that poster wanted me to land. :)

The first time I found this site was thru google; I was just getting back into affiliate marketing and came across one of the older threads where Jon explained exactly why clickbooth is bad.

Of course, I didn't bookmark the site, so I came across it again through smaxor's site and bluehatSEO when I was looking into php scrapers and trying to figure out why everyone was making such a big deal about hat colors.

It was the stuff in the sticky threads that got me to finally bookmark this site. This was also the first webmaster forum that I have ever came across where people get flamed for asking questions that do not need to be asked, keeping a certain "element" from coming in and ruining the quality of the boards.

I saw a post in DP wher the guy posted an image of an ad that says Tired of DP, come to Wickedfire. I came here and put my mail ID to register but it said mail exist. And then I remembered that Long back I came here once but it was so damn boring at that time.
Now this forum looks lively. Thanks a lot Jon.

My friend recommended me to join WF. This forum is great and not like Digitalpoint. And no n00bs here, DP is full of n00bs. :D
