What do you mean by "ghosted" please?

Essentially meaning your ad gets "published" (displays on a url like city.craigslist.org/category/XXXXXXXX.html) but doesn't get linked in the category listings. So the ad exists, but chances are nobody will see it because it isn't listed.

My theory is that its basically a way to fool spammers into thinking their ad is published, but no one is interested in their ad enough to email them. Thus, the spammer will then "quit" spamming that particular offer or any offer because the offer is "not working anymore".

Of course, we're smarter than that.
 
Posting on CL is easy if you know what to do. The filter was actually a good thing to filter out the noobs that think that buying a software will allow them to make some quick cash.
 
Hi, as a newbie I was curious if any software works for craigslist, or is there a better solution.
 
Posted my car for sale on CL, within 2 hours received calls from agencies asking if i would give them $350 to sell my car.

Needless to say, I immediately deleted my posting.
