HELP!! Hydra Leads Invalidated!!

I got denied 25k one time because I was promoting credit cards on facebook. I new I shouldn't have been doing it, and I knew it was a risk, so I wasn't surprised when I got the call saying they saw my campaign and weren't going to pay me. It happens if you are going to go against the T&C, I'm not sure whats so surprising about it.

This is insanity. You don't follow the conditions, but demand payment anyway.

Meanwhile, you are burning bridges with every company on this forum (most of them) by broadcasting you are a pain in the ass and putting your future revenues at risk.

To boot, you post your contact info.

Wow.

Do you really think that the big Networks sign a contract that gives the advertiser legal control over things like this? Of course not. Hydra has the legal upperhand exactly as I thought, my contact told me. He says Hydra is tough with things like this and will commonly not pay even if they get the money. He said the best thing to do in this situation is to get the story able to be published on a big AM blog, and Hydra will give in.

Damn are you dull. If the IO says no search traffic or tm terms, or whatever, then guess what, you aren't getting fucking paid. What would be the point of signing IOs otherwise. Stop and think for a second.

If I put my offer on hydra and I put into the IO no incentive traffic, and you dumb fuck send me incentive traffic, not getting paid on any of those leads is going to be your best case scenario.

Good advice - dont get a lawyer if you used trademarked words to market an offer. You can get yourself in even more trouble with the trademark owners.

There is plenty of money to be made out there, don't hurt yourself by using trademarked words, especially in ad copy. It can all be tracked.

you guys realize i had this campaign up for 2.5 days right, then noticed and turned it off? BEFORE hydra said anything to me?

Wow.

Probably one of the only valid points made.

just tell them only a small % was from search. It was a mistake, take those leads away and get paid the rest.

I just don't undestand how you all think its normal for a company to not payout a percentage on sales given to them no matter the manner they were presented (as long as they were legal). I highly doubt the TOS gives the advertiser any sort of authority to rule what is acceptable or not in terms of payment. It most likely gives them the right to pull the plug because of this, but not simply give no payment.

Hydras statement when this first arised was "they will pay if they ever want to do business with hydra again"

it has now changed to

"my boss is on my chain about this situation and we are not only working to get your money but working hard to keep them as an advertiser"

if you guys think I am just cock-n-bulling crying about money, you are wrong. Hydra is playing hardball and they are literally screwing me and others (i was told others were involved and I know one personally) just to keep the advertiser happy. HOW is that not something that should be known?

You would never not get paid because of anything you did that is not strictly against Hydras rules. The only reason you would not get paid is ebcause Hydra doesnt care enough to get your money, because they can definitely get it if they want it.

Dude, you fucked up. I doubt you'll get paid shit. Now stfu, gtfo, and start working on another campaign. Read the TOS more carefully this time around. There is nothing we can do to 'help' you, so lay off.

Good luck bro

everything is so simple :

Follow TOS, Get Paid

if you dont, and you still DEMAND to get paid, why would they even think of that?????
they wont even break a law by suspending you, as the campaign had warned you before in their description. its your fault you didnt read .

The only thing you can do is,NEGOTIATE, try to get atleast the amount you invested and try not to be a fool again.

Thanx and sorry for harsh words that might be used, and yea, my broken english.

Its time to move on man. Losing thousands sucks, plenty of us here have been there. The bottom line is you violated terms, so you won't get hardly any money back, if any at all. You live and you learn.

You're obviously very upset with Hydra so just move on. Join other networks and start pushing other shit.

You've made something profit before so get back out there and do it again, this time you're smart enough to check the terms first.

Take the loss as a necessary setback to teach you everything you need to know about this industry to be successful.

Good luck bro

gkg and everyone else who keeps telling me "you don't get paid".

Do you really think that the big Networks sign a contract that gives the advertiser legal control over things like this? Of course not.

uh, yeah, they actually do.

And take this from someone who previously spent time at Valueclick.

Hydra does this kind of thing. The AM may even go as far as to "lie" to you in order to withhold payment.

What's ironic is that this happened (similar situation) a while back to master mailer skrilla (under spamhaus watch interestingly enough and he's a "mailer guide" ironic? NO SPAM PLEASE) vs market leverage. But, because he used his clout and got jon involved and it became this whole wf vs ml thing they actually caved and paid. And that was a pretty clear violation of TOS and leads "supposedly" didn't back out for the advertiser.

So, there is hope to get paid - but it's an uphill battle.
