Hate me or love me, I've never abused my mod privileges. Hellblazer is crying cause I deleted some retarded posts of his in my thread after Jon gave me the OK to do so, and after I clearly stated I'd be doing so in the original post. He's free to continue shitting all over his own awful threads at his leisure.
Seriously though, people who are still requesting he step down as a mod by taking advantage of the most open method of data collection (used by hundreds if not thousands of people for various purposes) need to realize the full scope of the situation.
Everyone takes their privacy for granted, if you don't realize that every action you take online is tracked you need to dive deeper into the game. Why don't we do a full expose on flash cookies and let you grab a sliver of perspective on the subject and that's just a small piece of the game.
I don't know the data sources, nor do I care. Truthfully there are hundreds of sources immediately available to anyone who would attempt to create a similar product.
Still, Hellblazer earns for most epic troll on WF.. I dare any to step up to the game. Altho I give props to Nicky, he gave it a good shot on the viral tip. I'm still convinced uber affiliate sucks your dick.

Err. Care to go more in depth and see who outed Mr. Cakes in that thread for the whole tracking thing? It wasn't you or any other member but rather Eli. So not really sure why you are putting everyone in the same pack.
Actually, you there was a bigger drama about NickyGates in the mod section than on the outside. And yes, Jon does care. Stanley does care. Send them a message if you need to get in touch with them.
But since I have a few real businesses to run and a life beyond the interwebz to life, I don't follow every drama word to word -- so not sure what action took place.
So no, you can't really say that WF is going down the drain. But constructive criticism is always welcome.
I personally think that's what we have tried to give, and I also think it's time that a member with a sufficient post counts opened their mouth and said "THIS IS NOT RIGHT". Even more verbally then I was in the thread that initially happened (and Lord B I respect you more than any mod on the board because you tell it like it is.)
There are going to be haters, there are going to be fanbois, there are people who would be-little me (although I have never claimed to be anything but what I am). Frankly I don't care. There are plenty of people here that would just as soon as see Cakes step down as a mod (and again, it's not anything overly personal it just a conflict of interest thing).
Am I the only one surprised by the fact that there hasn't been a movement to another (new) forum by the angry people on WF? Not that I care one way or the other, I'm just surprised it didn't happen. Or maybe it did?
I think your missing the point, I am not trying to pick a bone with your or Eli. I love you both, but the lack of action is what has people pissed off. It seems mods only want to sweep this under the rug and go on their way.
I think Wickedfire is a dynamic community enough to get this solved in a proper way. I'm not trying to get anyone to leave, but I'm trying to get the right thing done.

What is the major issue at hand with the mod status? If the issue is his product and the methods he uses as an affiliate/business owner, and he only used methods that were available to everyone, doesn't that make it a level playing field?
I'm assuming the signature I poked fun at in the OP was related to posts made in the cakes defense thread? What do I need to read to get up to speed with this situation? I'm kind of tired of wading through the drama-fest and would like to cut to what's what.
