Has Google Run out of Ideas re Models or ...

Have they run out of ideas re new online biz models? If not, are their versions of existing models like Paypal/stat counters/free email pioneering new ways to make money? Are they at least improving on earlier technology?

I think they are just beating others in the same game for innovation. It'll be interesting to see what Yahoo does as I'm hearing more and more people say they are tired of Google and have started using Yahoo instead.

No. I think as in the case of Analytics they will start to make more aquisitions rather than inovations.

The newness of that will come in their adapation of those aquisitions into new forms

They've already done it with apps like writely. I don't think google will ever stop innovating though, as their entire model is based off something like this (employees have 20% or similar of their time to work on new personal projects)

Every time they do something they bring a new concept to the game.
And there's plenty of room left.

I hear that as well. Apparently, Yahoo's search is much much better now than 3 years ago.

Frankly, I think the writely acquisition is BRILLIANT. The future=Web-based Office applications then later Web-based productivity and other types of applications suites!(?)
