the idea that someone who was not directly involved in any crime - let alone even living in the same century of that crime, apologize for it is already in itself an idiotic motion.

it is mainly those who follow a specific idea of religion (not the whole deal, just a tiny segment of it) that crimes follow a blood line "let his blood be upon us and our children" is a popular saying in the bible, as is the act of revenge that was often performed on those who had not done any wrong.

People get so worked up about black slavery, slavery existed for thousands of years, blacks just happened to be the last (widely traded) victims of it before the practice became socially unacceptable.

China didn't fully abolish slavery until 1910. I think the middle east was trading slaves about 10 years longer or so.

It's ridiculous that the U.S is the country that's synonymous with slavery. This country participated in slavery for the shortest amount of time, but we're supposed to bear all the guilt from it.

Of course, that's assuming that you even consider slavery to be over. In my opinion, it's just another industry that was taken over by government.
