I just know a question is coming about 'What happens if they are in space? How will they face Mecca!?' - Muslim scholars released a book titled "Guidelines for Performing Islamic Rites (Ibadah) at the International Space Station"
The Ramadan Pole Paradox - WikiIslam
From that article:
"We can understand some desert dwellers not knowing about the poles or believing that Muslims would someday end up in space, but the Creator of the Universe should have known better. Whoever made these rules either believed that the Earth is flat, or the Earth is in a perfect perpendicular tilt relative to the Sun. A real Creator would not make such an astronomical blunder in regards to his/her Creation."
A real Creator would not make such an astronomical blunder in regards to his/her Creation.
I don't understand how a sentence like that ends up on wikiislam.net.
In their about page they say "WikiIslam is a community edited website where Muslims and non-Muslims are able to share their knowledge of Islam in separate articles." It suprises me that the Muslim users would allow a sentence like that.
