Search engine traffic is the term used for traffic that is directed to your site via the results of a search performed through Google, Yahoo, MSN or any other of the myriad search engines out there. These days, the vast majority of internet users navigate the internet and find the information they want through performing searches, so most of the traffic coming to many websites is search engine traffic. Therefore, if you can tap this market, you'll have access to that vast majority of users. Search engine traffic is much easier to cash in on then hoping someone stumbles across your web site randomly.

Search engines really play an immense role in website promotion. Most of traffic to our website comes as the results of a search performed through various search engines. So clearly if you want to grab this market, you will have to tap search engines.
 
o.O this thread...

playing with meta tags and bolding keywords (lmao remember?) and messing with headers too much is dead.

actually adding content that search engines and visitors want is sort of what...the internet is about. (currently that is, i wonder when we'll figure out a way to retrieve results without search engines)

SEO ain't dead yet.. In fact it's everywhere in World Wide Web man.. it's the way to make money online nowadays
