Google completes new web indexing system called Caffeine.



Hard to know what's going on lately. A few weeks ago, my site bombed from page 3 for a highly competitive search term - it went back in around page 38 last week, hovered there for a few days and then pow, now it's back to page 3 again. What is happening out there?
 
From everything I Just read it seems like things should stay decently stable, unless your ranking for kw that are searched in the media, in which case new FB. MS, twitter, or blog post will rank higher if its newer.

I guess load time will be a larger factor now as well, but keyword in the URL doesnt hold as much weight. Also shitty links = hurt you more.

All in all I think its a good change.
