"Local shared objects, sometimes referred to as "Flash cookies," are data files that can be created on your computer by the sites you visit. Shared objects are most often used to enhance your web-browsing experience."

Also not worth much by itself but still something you may not want tracked is your gps coordinates of your phone.

There's a class in java and .net languages called locationinfo for accessing gps coordinates of you phone/mobile device...something to think about next time you install the next "xyz" company's app.

Short of an ActiveX control or Java applate you're not getting the clients mac address. LOL @ getting it in PHP.

Yeah they're watching alright. I'd be extremely careful if I was you.

Maybe you'll get a message like this in the near future.

You didn't read where I said you have to install an app/piece of software on the device to get the Mac....maybe read the links I posted with it if you're still confused. nice strawman nobody said you get a mac address from php. so...LOL

Php was simply to work with mysql and was an example, the mac has to be posted to the server by the app/program on the device.

As of Java 6, java.net.NetworkInterface class now has the method getHardwareAddress()

and in C# http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.net.networkinformation.physicaladdress.aspx

So when you install facebook app they could easily access it.

Yesterday, maybe 30 minutes before leaving the office, I (on my desktop computer) googled a merchant processing company that happens to have offices nearby. When I got in my car, my phone asked me if I needed directions to their offices.

Good luck bros.

not sure if srs...

logged in to google account on both devices?

If you just quit doing all this SEO hocus pocus shit then you wouldn't have to worry about this sort of stuff.

Which facebook apps?

As far as I knew they were all browser based (flash or html) and you can't (excluding browser exploits) get access to the low level data that way.

Welcome to the party, although it was six years ago or so. :zzwhip:

Anyway, there's a browser plugin (FF) that deletes your flash cookies LSO's, BHO's and all that other stuff. If that allows you to relax the clutch on your teddy bear. You can still keep the night light though.

Truthfully, you don't even need to use the "commercial internet" i.e. the web to successfully market, but that's another story...

Personally signed up for +cents and Liticks when they both first opened... analytics gets no opening and is only used on the initial site. Most sites get cross combos with Stat Count Her Sight Meat Her Clicky or something else. The only reason +cents got opened fairly recently was because if not the account risked closure due to a g system switch pertaining to email and even then it was about a year and a half of emails sent before compliance on this end.

Once the limit is reached on sites and all the other stuff allowed it'll sit untouched like it did for the years prior. As long as the checks come there is no need to do anything. Other than that Adwords gets used and that is only because the price for the tools everybody offers are not worth it. Probably used g for less than 200 searches in the last five years... it's other engines out there and if you know how to look, crawl, scrawl and spider around you can find whatever you want no matter from where you look...:costumed-smiley-013
