Ive been having good success in our adwords campaign off just the google network only, now I want to test the partner network out.....

Has anyone else observed what happens if you simply copy an entire campian into a different name (same keywords, ads, etc), but turn on the partner network, and go with lower bids?

I tested this so far on a small scale for two days, seems to be working fine so far, getting clicks from both google and the partners....

I cant seem to see any affect from my first campign that I copied off of....

I am thinking of doing the same thing for every campaign in my account...anyone else tried this?

Partner network = searches on 3rd party search engines such as Ask.com

And I think google has gayed up their system now so you can't target partner only. Must have G Search turned on as well, which is totally different then targeting content network.

If I'm wrong someone please correct me on the partner thing. I'd love to target just Partner and it seems to be borked for the past few months now.

goddafadda is correct -- you can't only target partner search sites. Setting separate bids for search partners would be a nice features to see in the future.

From my experience, traffic quality is on par with what you would expect from Google; AOL, Ask.com, Comcast, people searching with whatever their default search provider is in their browser are probably just as qualified as somebody going to Google for search.

Back when I could target partner only I saw partner clicks were actually a little more expensive than google ones. Conversions were fairly good though. Partner sites tend to have less savvy users (a good thing for AMs usually) than google does.

AOL search = someone using AOL, nuff said

Google search = savvy computer user who is more familiar with ads

Sounds like the partner network is pretty good.

Whats your guys experience with copying the campaign with duplicate keywords in the same account, just with different bids...?

I would post some boobs but Im at work, doh!

I've seen everything from conversions being 1/2 the price on the partner network, to conversions costing 6x as much. It all depends on your campaign. No reason not to try it out.
