Do you know any examples of squeeze pages with good opt-in rates ?!

I've heard from different sources that http://www.doubleyourdating.com/ is doing a great job, somewhere between 30% and 50% or so, but would like to see some other good examples as well.

Our squeeze pages

Yes doubleyourdating is very very effective as a squeeze page.

The general format I use is something like this:

Alcoholics Recovery Program - by Burt Goldman

I use this same simple, generic formula for all sites I run. The best convert and 30% - 40%. Some markets blow and convert at a mere 4%. These products I dump.

When I moved from Long copy to squeeze pages I did a test on 500,000 visitors lasting 5 months. I found that squeeze pages boosted signups by 50% from my long copy page. BUT - and here's the big but....signups to sales dropped by 300%. When I ran this test I lost $30,000.

Now I use squeeze pages only for testing markets. To see if demand is there. For hot selling product - I have completed stopped with squeeze pages.

For actual products I use a psuedo-style page that's part squeeze and part long copy. You can see an example here:

I also wrote a white paper on Squeeze page design. it's available free from this link:

Question Vishen, how long did the followup email keep going for you products? I think I may have signed up to doubleyourdating 18 months or so ago (around when I launched my first ebook, whenver that was) and on occassion still recieve messages from the list, perhaps once every other month.

This ebook test I did was a total flop, but when I switched to the sqeeze page my conversions went to ziltch.. until I sent out a message the book was on sale, and got one conversion.

That being said, I think the total ebook sales I did was around 10 over 6 months or so. Far too little to make any precise conclusions.

Not really, just collect the email address and send 2 autoresponder messages. This was a long time ago, I'm not doing any ebook stuff anymore.

the number of follow up messages

You need at least 7 messages to follow up. I usually queue my free lessons into a 9 lesson plan.

Typically I convert about 5% of subscribers. These are the low-hanging fruit. The folks who really want the product.

But I don't stop there....I then queue a series of shorter articles or newsletter. This queue lasts 1 year. I have to write 52 articles but I have people do that. This creates another 2.5% conversion rate.

So In total I convert 7.5% of my subscribers into buyers.

you can see how i structure my autoresponder sequence by signing up for my autoresponder here:

Hey Vishen,

Are you sending PPC straight to your home page (the squeeze page). I noticed you bundled the confirmation email sign-up with the full landing page (the overlay is a great idea btw). Does that prove to be a remedy for potential sales losses from the squeeze page? and how effective has the bundled confirmation/sales page been for you?

Thanks!
