When did this shit start with GoDaddy?

I've been using NameCheap on my new domains, but got some old ones at GD. Tried to renew today and they wanted $11.62 for a .com renewal.

Anyways, if its about time for you to renew with GD you can use BTPS412 to get it lowered to $7.66, found it on fatwallet.

Anyone got any good reg. besides GD and NameCheap that they like using?

thanks, I think I actually have 1 domain at moniker already, I need to look that shit up.

i know NC just had a discount to 5.99 for domains too. I will check out some others as well.

Thanks

Their "normal" price is always fluctuating. It's been pretty much standard practice for the past 10 years to *always* use a coupon with GoDaddy. I've never once paid more than $7 for a domain there, renewals included.

What subigo said. They always have coupons available so the list price doesn't really matter.

The problem is that ICANN has raised their prices like 4 times in the last two or three years, 50 cents a go. If you have a few hundred domains with GoDaddy the price is $8.49. When I started with them it was $6.49.

ICANN is supposed to be a non profit organization. I wonder what they do with all the money they earn?

The $5.99 NC coupon expired 3 or 4 days early.

Used webair's domain registration service but after a few months in domain business they stopped offering free whois protection and the prices have gone up, so i'm moving all my stuff to namecheap

Fuck GoDaddy. I spent a little bit hours making a google calendar of domain renewals to xfer to NC. Godaddy tried to gouge me for $10 per .info domain renewal on like 25 domains. Had to call and raise hell to get them to reverse it.

Not to mention I have to look at that shim Julian fat fart cunt manface every time I visit their site.

well so you guys saying there are cheaper place to get your domains ? renew them - i have around 20-25 domains with godaddy, some on name, some on register and some on monk and some on hostmonster, interesting if there is a cheaper place to get all my domains too.
