What I don't understand is why anyone would be against what proponents of global warming's legitimacy are calling for:
- Alternative, reusuable energy sources.
- Less dependence on oil.
- More oversight regarding pollution-heavy industries.
- Using more fuel-efficient transportation.
- Utilizing more public transportation, or car-pooling.
- Forgoing driving when you can telecommute.
- Living a healthier lifestyle in general.
I don't see any of these things as bad. So even if, for the sake of argument, global warming is a scam, why wouldn't you want to do any of the above ?
shuttup libtard!![]()
This hypothesis had mixed support in the scientific community, but gained temporary popular attention due to a combination of press reports that did not accurately reflect the scientific understanding of ice age cycles
"Currently, the concern that cooler temperatures would continue, and perhaps at a faster rate, has been observed to be incorrect by the IPCC.[7] More has to be learned about climate, but the growing records have shown that the cooling concerns of 1975 have not been borne out."
I'm a libtard too than, nice to meet you! I'm reading your replies, but I don't understand your position on this issue... Global warming for you is a myth?
lol wut?
talks about some debunked science myth:
Can you seriously draw that conclusion from the text you quoted? If so, you've hold your breath underwater for too long...
umm... so what conclusions did you draw from the quoted text? That Global Cooling is a global phenomenon? If I'm not mistaken you're also the guy who said "Havana is in ruins". Flying too high?
Don't make assumptions. I just said you're stupid as the text you quoted don't "debunk" global cooling nor say it's a myth.
Also, Havana really is in ruins.
Currently, the concern that cooler temperatures would continue, and perhaps at a faster rate, has been observed to be incorrect by the IPCC
I'll give you a hint: "The concern" = "Global Cooling" and "incorrect" = "false"
false [fɔːls]
adj 1. not in accordance with the truth or facts
do you need this translated to Portugese?
I removed that bit about Havana not to make you look retarded since several people apart from me said it's simply not true... Save up next time and stay in a better part of town.
Back to topic
Global cooling was a conjecture during the 1970s of imminent cooling of the Earth's surface and atmosphere along with a posited commencement of glaciation.
Seems to me that the more data being collected comes out about global cooling, the more that the conjecture regarding its validity is being proven incorrect.Currently, the concern that cooler temperatures would continue, and perhaps at a faster rate, has been observed to be incorrect by the IPCC.[7] More has to be learned about climate, but the growing records have shown that the cooling concerns of 1975 have not been borne out.
Can you stop editing your posts 10 times so I can reply?
Anyway, I fell in the troll trap.
-----Offtopic-----
I stayed in a 5* Hotel in Varadero. Probably for someone who lives in a slum, Havana is standard and acceptable, not for me.

Now, back to topic.
The keywords in your quoted phrases are "Currently" and " More has to be learned about".
What seems to be true when we look at a particular small time frame, can be completely false if we look at the bigger picture. A few years time frame is not a significant nor reliable data sample to evaluate major climate shifts.
I drop out the university only a few credits away from a degree in Geological Engineering and was a Secretary and then the President of my University Earth Sciences Club. I know my paleoclimatology quite well. How about you?
IPCC does not say the same thing about "global warming" so I fail to see the relevance of that link.debunkedpast participle, past tense of de·bunk (Verb)
1. Expose the falseness or hollowness of (a myth, idea, or belief).
Calling it a "myth" was incorrect, but IPCC does say it's currently false.
No, I didn't drop out of university. Just doing IM full time.
A long stretch to saying "debunked myth", no?
I was really just exposing your poor reading compreension skills [...] and not making a case for (or against) global cooling
Agree!!!I say 100% is caused by humans ... the more developed world, but the earth to experience pain.
still little awareness!!
Solar activity has died down, and this is one of the coldest winters in the northern hemisphere in recent history.
If global warming equals getting hotter and getting cooler ("climate change") then what would global cooling be?
