Giving someone my FTP login info ... advice?

Ok i hate doing this right now, but i have a site that i'm trying to get some modifications to and i need to give the person my FTP login info

is there anyway i can make a supplemental password or something?
 


You can make a different FTP login for them and only give them access to what's needed. Who is your host?

Sure, no problem. Log into your cpanel and go to FTP Accounts under Files. From there, you can setup a temp login for him and point it to the directory he needs access to. I have like 20 domains I wouldn't want anybody else seeing if they needed FTP access to only one project. I don't think I'd give my master FTP account out to anybody.

You will need to find the exact location of which directory he needs access to. I don't think there's a browse on that one. You have to type that in manually.
