The old books is a great idea for free content, well worth looking into.
So press releases every day - can I ask where you submit these to? Just one place or would you mix it up? And are these free PRs - new ones every day would cost a fair bit, no?

Yeah, it can be expensive, but you get what you pay for. And it isn't that much. For under $10k you can get a PR sent every day (that includes writing services)
Greeny excellent thread. I really liked your domain acquisition part as I have been doing similar for many years. Another option is to scrape all urls right out of source code on websites you want links on and then do a bulk domain check. Also sites like similar sites do not update very often so you can grab some domains here as well.
Prior to penguin I was mainly a SEO guy. Now I am mainly a paid traffic guy and to be honest I cringe at the thought of doing all that work only for G to stick it to you later. For paid traffic I can go from concept to live campaign in less than 24 hours.
