According to Forbes Gates has around $49 billion (depending on when they pegged it) putting him second to Carlos Slim Helu (~$60 billion) but if Gates hadn't given money to his charitable foundation he'd clock in at around $88 billion. I didn't realize he dropped to 2nd because he gave it away, I thought it was because Microsoft's stock has been stagnant for the last decade.

I wonder what the ATM receipts he gets when he pulls cash out read? "stack overflow" maybe?

I keep on thinking Gates is trying to bank in the medical industry. Tax free research, unlimited bodies.

see note under my name.

Gates paid $50 million for that 12 acre lot of prime real estate from the city of Seattle (just across from the space needle) just to build a place to give money away... that is 'winning', lol.

His property (stocks from Microsoft, Berkshire Hathaway and some investment companies, buildings etc) has the value of 50 billion. Don't think he is carrying billions of dollars in his bank account just to hang Bank numbering system :D

Probably he has some few millions in most in his account not more.

gates is pure win

I think $10k-$20k seemed to be about average for Bank of America back when I worked in their ATM Technology department. The NFL stadium ATMs had the most money in them out of all in the Charlotte area.

ATM Technology Department you say? How would you like to be my best friend?

Carlos Slim Helu: "I don't care for charity. World problems are solved by creating jobs and opportunities, not by playing Santa Claus."

$10-$20K? You sure? That's fuck all.
You sure it's not $100-$200K

I don't work there anymore, it was my "9-5" job when I lived in Charlotte a few years ago until my position was outsourced to India. The ATMs all ran Windows XP with a custom GUI and were remotely updated/reimaged through Tivoli when I was there. ;)

I never saw a six figure balance in any Bank of America ATM nationwide. If any ATMs hold close to that amount, I would guess maybe the casino ATMs in Vegas.
