I've gotten into a pretty stable routine between family, work, and play but I've always been a nerd and most of my friends were online in clans.

Some pretty cool clans with good cultures, too.

Anyone have experience starting a good vibe gaming community? Any tips?

It's like asking the highschoolers where to find weed when you're 50 and square.

If you want to get a community going I highly suggest renting out servers and having your gaming site promoted on them. What sucks today (since everyone wants to start their own group) is that what you put in, will probably only reward you with 10% of that effort. It takes a lot of dedication and effort to really get something going and I'd suggest you plan out your steps rather than just winging it day by day.

Don't rent out a server if you're just starting.

The best communities are the smaller ones. Don't do that MMORPG shit because you'll just get lost among the millions of other players playing.

CS:GO and Dota 2 have excellent "gaming clan" communities. Play CS if you enjoy FPS shooters, or opt for Dota 2 if you enjoy a more tactical RPG type of game.

Those are the only two I play for the time:reward ratio.

I jump into EVE from time to time but not as much lately.

i'm down for CS:GO. If we can get 3 more players posting in this thread, i'll get it setup

Wassa matter, getting bored again? Methinks thou ar't looking for a new obsession, boat.

I remember the last one, do you?

Just sayin...

New obsession? Work is steady and things are good. Just looking for some entertainment.
