Gallup: Ron Paul Down Only 2% Against Obama

I plan on registering Republican to vote for him. I hope he wins this time.

I'd love to see him win. Only problem is, even if he wins, he'll still have the Congress and Senate there. Guaranteed they'll go all out to fuckup his ideas, and ruin his time in office as President.

Will a lot of his ideas be able to see the light of day? No, but he'll get to play the veto game and I'd love to see that happen. Also, if he's elected the Republicans will more than likely fall behind him. Some of the classically Democrats will as well (are there any left?).

I'm still a registered repug so Ron can count on my vote...

I'll still feel a bit guilty when they assasinate him but at least I voted my conscious.

There's a part of me that wonders if he's just another layer of control. Like if Ron Paul is purposely there to give intelligent people a candidate to root for so we'll stfu and be good little citizens instead of organizing some sort of large-scale politician ass-kicking.

I don't get this, what does being registered have to do with who can you vote for?

Only problem he is already like 76 isn't he? I know hes atleast if not close to mid 70's, just can't see a 80+ year old president. If he does win, better have a damn good VP. :)

Dont get me wrong, I like Paul, but too bad he wasn't about 10-15 years younger.
Paul would make Reagan look like a young.

Of course a 90 year old, blind, deaf mute, ex hooker would be better than Obuma.

He's healthy as a horse, he walks 3-4 miles a day and rides 12 miles a day on a bike, swims when the weather is nice, and even has an organic vegetable garden.

He's probably more fit than half of the members here.

I read somewhere the other day that he 'challenged' the other candidates to a 20 mile run in Texas :) Somehow I don't see anyone taking him up on it though.

Admittedly, I find the whole thing confusing when you try to figure out all the rules with the different states. I found some clarity on How to vote in primary election [Archive] - Ron Paul 2012 Forums - Liberty Forest Forums for my state. There's probably help in there for your own individual states as well.

EDIT: This is interesting:
If a voter votes in one party’s primary, he may not vote in the other party’s run-off election in that same year. Registered voters who do not vote in the primary election may vote in a run-off election of either party that year.

So essentially, if Ron paul doesn't make it I'm stuck voting republican in 2012. Hahah. That's ironic. Guess I'll be abstaining then.

Ron Paul will possibly be President.

Deal with it.

Fixed that for you!

I would have agreed with you 6 months ago. However, this is a different time. The economy and the people have changed. I'm sure you've noticed that he is doing BETTER in the polls.... and even the media black out is different this time around.

To many are tired of the dems and repugs being the same damn party and just blowing smoke up the voters asses.

No. This same "WAIT, HE HAS A CHANCE!" bullshit rose up around 2007/2008 during the last election as well. There is ZERO chance of it happening. Ron Paul has the democratic and republican party against him, as well as the media, although I'm sure you could argue there isn't much of a difference between these 3. I admire your political furor, and I hate to beat it down with cynicism...but there isn't a chance in hell that it's happening.

Honestly? I believe that somewhere, deep down, Obama is a good guy. It's just that our political situation is so beyond FUCKED that he never stood a chance at changing this damn country, even before he was elected.

Gold is up to freaking $2000 this time around... More people than ever are worried, and ARE GOING to vote... It really could happen differently this year, especially with the extremely weak repug competition...

But of course, if it does happen, those in charge will have no choice but to slay him with extreme prejudice.
