Fuckin sad state of affairs in the BST section my god

Not because of the charging money, mind you. An infinitely small barrier to entry is a good thing. I fully support the charging money for posting in that section.

But what really fucked it up, at least for me, is the system; the whole 'create a new thread' for every sale and then it gets locked 10 days latter' thing.

Before, it was easier to find services worth trying because:

1- You could see which threads got the most views/replies
2- You could see updates on services weeks/months after purchased. You can see which are the latest reviews. How the service was reviewed in the past.

These two things coupled with the whole 'the game has changed thing' makes it so that I have a harder time justifying scouring through the BST for services to test.

I agree with this. I think WF's BST would be in a much better shape if you created a subscription for each thread and your thread remained active as long as your subscription was active.

ya that is what did it for me too, I now do most of my shopping for services elsewhere as it is too hard on WF with the thread closing before and reviews can be had... it taking longer than 10 days to see results of the purchase.

I do try to shop on there but 90% of the shit in the bst is run by kids who have to make everything look like a childish cartoon and then expect you to take them seriously... really? I am finding myself having to resort to that terrible site with the black background now to buy links.

WF needs a tune up to bring it back

Fuck, I hate those names: Cyclone, Omni, Dinosaur, Tsunami, Battle Ship, X-Men, World Warz, etc... are just so fucking stupid. I've even bought from sellers with those names because their actual service seemed interesting.

I always wondered if those guys realized I purchased their service IN SPITE of their name. Not the other way around. I'm sure I've missed purchasing some good services just because I couldn't get over the retardation of the names and graphics.
 
Ya... so many of them I have to just click away when I see the cartoon pictures before I even try to read what the offer is, and those names and titles...

PPS- Subscriptions will probably help with the scammer issues to. Theres just not enough time for the truth to come out on the bullshitters and outright scams when the thread closes before the first reports go out.
 
Yeah, I like the idea of a subscription, all parties win. Jon get's a rebill, threads stay open longer, BST patrons are happy.
 
The BST section has gotten so fuckin bad, that I actually have to build my links by fucking hand now. Can you believe that shit? Unbelievable
 
We are putting something in the works to make it subscription based so that threads can remain open.

What you pay is what you get, it's always been like this. Some of the stuff is and was a good bang for the buck, it's like buying stuff in china. Looks nice at first glance, breaks fast, often disappointing long term.

You don't get a 100% cotton all original Ralph Lauren shirt for $7 including shipping, but if you are not willing to spend 10 times more for the real thing, complaining that the $5 shirt is low quality polyester and the horse looks like a cow is kinda unfair.

But very often, you'd just get a regular, plain shirt with a fancy name and a fancy price.
 
Seriously, been a member here for a while now just to browse every now and then and have maybe bought 1-2 on there.

90%+ of those PBN's on there aren't taking the proper steps to secure the PBN, and if you are, chances are it's an obvious PBN with 500 word articles with one optimized anchor.

I mean, c'mon.

What's worse is it's often the crap that has the most activity, all the newbies coming on here thinking those are the best ones vs the listings with a single link on a legit site.
