People pay good money for them bst advertisements. Maybe it's not the links that are shit? Would 90% of the Indians really put up garbage? Perhaps you might look at techniques to benefit from the current situation?

Oh the good services & links are there...perhaps you're just not looking closely enough.

Yeah. I've been around for a few cups of coffee. I know there are some good ones. One out of ten, y0h, if that. Back in the day it was exciting, you could take your pick--I'd drop a couple hundred bucks a weekend. But look, do me this favor, if you care to do a kind deed. PM me the links to your top 4-5 picks if you were trying to do some legit shit. That would be a great help. Peace.

Not much have changed from the BST of past. It just that in the past we can drop shit links on a site and it will still rank. The game has changed, not BST.

If you have money and you know what you're doing, create a linkbuilding process for a given link type, and use that money that is burning a hole in your pocket to hire someone on eLance to do it exactly the way you laid out. Right now, it just sounds that you're relying 100% on the expertise of BST sellers to make or break your business.

You should blame Google for creating the confusion. When you get backlinks, it's now a roll of the dice. Do not over-optimize, do not get social links in quick bunches, get bookmarks at very slow rate, do some comment links that are nofollow.

In fact, your link profile should look like this:

10 to 20% keyword optimized

at least 40 to 50% no follow links

10 to 20 % bookmarks

5 to 10% editorial links.

If you have your own blog network, but proceed with caution as your competition will snitch on you.

Warning: Do not use indexing services as you're just letting Google know you just created stuff that is against their terms of service.

People are trying to make a living at the BST threads. The only issue I have is that most of them do not bother to test the services before selling. You cannot survive by killing off your customers money site.

With all the data collected from the millions of DISAVOW fillings, Google now knows how backlinks are created. Yes they know about tier linking.

You just have to proceed with caution, if you want your rankings to last.

Lastly, if you can get links from well recognized domains, it will do your site much good.

I'd drop a couple hundred bucks a weekend.

This is part of the problem, you can no longer really spend $100 on a site and get the same results that you could a few years ago, maybe add a zero to that today, unfortunately. The upside is say goodnight to the princesses who think they are going to beat you long term with $300 in SEO tools, VPS's, OCR service. Not saying it can't be done, but typically for short term gains only, which you are not interested in.

I agree with those saying the game has changed.

But in defense of OP, the BST has become a place where it is MUCH harder to find quality services.

For me, the changed happened with the charging money.

Not because of the charging money, mind you. An infinitely small barrier to entry is a good thing. I fully support the charging money for posting in that section.

But what really fucked it up, at least for me, is the system; the whole 'create a new thread' for every sale and then it gets locked 10 days latter' thing.

Before, it was easier to find services worth trying because:

1- You could see which threads got the most views/replies
2- You could see updates on services weeks/months after purchased. You can see which are the latest reviews. How the service was reviewed in the past.

These two things coupled with the whole 'the game has changed thing' makes it so that I have a harder time justifying scouring through the BST for services to test.
