Free Backlink Data - Popular Niche

Neat list, Thanks Eliq. Found a few decent open targets in there that can be easily posted to.

Hey, if you guys really did find something.. mind sharing it?

I know you guys might not want to out in the open public here where certain people might see it, but if you can PM or share in another way that would be great. I am always looking for things maybe I didnt spot first time around.

I really wanted this thread to be a sharing exercise, so if you cant share it in public you can PM me or skype me.

Kudos for laying it all out like that. Everyone should already be looking at this info for themselves though.

The link platform report might take longer then normal.

I've never really ran a full one before, but using one of the tools I realized it will take days to run the full amount of links.

3. Can you explain safesearch checkers?

it's essentially a blacklist of domains/urls with malware, phishing and other related issues. the one you probably care about is the one compiled by google (used by chrome, among other things). if you like automation, check out the apis: https://developers.google.com/safe-browsing/

for large numbers of urls, i would suggest the local lookup version, which afaik is basically a bloom filter with some bells on.

1. Cross domain rel canonicals won't show unless you can get a raw dump of HTML -- injections are important piece of what's going on these days. You probably have some dump age somewhere, so that'd be handy to flip through.

is that a popular injection?

5. Language of outbound urls helps to show G's inability to correctly discern theme.

could you elaborate?

How many hacked sites are these fuckers using to actually rank on the first page for "payday loans"? I would think it would take an insane amount.

EDIT:

What about using something like http://nutch.apache.org/ to find backlinks?

the underlying software is in all likelihood what all the big boys like ahrefs are running. with that said, doing a bigger crawl than them is impractical. beyond that, a full-*text* index isn't helpful when you need to search for elements.

Nice start eliq.

A note to everyone churning and burning:
If you aren't constantly scouring sites ranking well for big terms, analyzing their backlinks, looking for footprints, networks, etc., then you are missing out on a lot.

I test 5-6 backlink patterns a month on useless sites just to see what happens and monitor the results. I'm not saying you will find anything long term, but you can definitely find patterns you can replicate yourself and make more than a few k in one week...... Once you make it big on one, scale it and diversify. DO NOT STOP TESTING. Shit is going to change. You need to be on the cutting edge.

Now back to everyone with common sense, I'll toss up some interesting backlink profiles as well.

This this this. Learn to code or get a good coder. Watch all the competitive niches. Soon as someone starts spamming with a new footprint, find it, duplicate it, and rape it before the masses.

It's not rocket science.

To add to this, if you don't want to get into any showdowns, use your new footprints in a different niche than where they were extracted from. The last thing you want is russians seeing that you are using their method and ranking in front of them :love-smiley-083:

Surely they are using a graph database, as they are creating a link graph.

I was thinking more along the lines of modifying it just for back links.

What are they going to do about it? I highly doubt they'll do anything. They're not mythical creatures that can hack anything, because they have a bad ass gui wrote in VB with flying cubes. Even if they do manage to own you it's not the end of the world.

I've hopped on some russians botnet C&Cs before and talked to them. Confused the fuck out of them and got them to remove bots and actually black list ip blocks for me. They knew my handle, but not me so that might have helped, but I doubt it.
