Forum signatures do play an important role in SERPs. But i do have a query regarding forum posting.

Case A: Participating in 40 forums and posting 10 posts in a month/each forum = 400 posts in 1 month
Case B: Participating in 5 forums and posting 5 posts a day in each forum = 5X5X30 =750 posts in 1 month

In which case, the forum posting would be better to result in higher SERP? Please do not consider the number of posts into consideration.

Please do suggest me ..... Thanx in advance.

Well I don't think people are answering your question because, signature links are a good way to promote your self or product, but I don't think are that great of a job at increasing SERPS. I could be wrong but from my understanding if google finds that you 300 backlinks from the same forum they will might only count that as one backlink. As yahoo on the other hand might count them as many backlinks. Don't quote me on that explination but hey, I tried to help out.

I'd say it's a low-PR forum (5 or less) , or if the post URL is a long QUERY_STRING, or there's a session ID, or they use nofollow, or they only show the last month's posts, forget it.

If it's a high PR forum, and none of the above apply, might be worth it, just to get a site of the ground.

If you are posting illiterate junk on active forums for SEO purposes, you are being a nuisance, and adding to the white noise of the internet.

Off-topic: I really hope the mods here are going to be brutal with junky posts. We don't need another DP or SitePoint.
