WickedFire, I'm open for new projects again!

Since apparently my services are in demand, I'd like to tell you what I'm looking for specifically:

I'd like to find people who want to send me steady work. Need between 1-10 landing pages a week? Or someone you can send constant work to? Then I'm interested!

I might take on single projects if they're big enough, or if they might lead to more work :) Never hurts to hit me up!

Jake is worth every dollar I've paid him. Beautiful designs, but most importantly they convert. His prices are definitely great, and have paid much more in the future for similar quality that didn't convert half as hell. If you are looking for a new designer and haven't yet contacted Jake, do yourself a favor and contact him now before I take up the rest of his schedule for the months to come :)
 
I'm working with Jake on a design now and he's done an awesome job so far. Communicates well, quick turnaround, clean design! Will use again for sure!
 
Infographics, FTW!

Thanks for the great reviews, folks. WF has been so good to me! I decided to post more recent work that I did for WF members…

I'm sure you savvy marketers have noticed that infographics are blowing up on popular social/community sites like Digg, Reddit, etc. They're easy to create, but can spread as far or even farther than the original article/research they came from, generating massive backlinks all the way. Haha. Infographics FTW!

Still looking for reliable constant work

I hear a lot that people have trouble finding reliable designers for the long haul. Well, it turns out I'm looking for more clients that can send constant work.

I enjoy good working relationships -- when you get to know each other's working style so well that things go smoothly every time and we all get paid!

HONEST REVIEW

I've worked with Jake on a handful of projects over the past couple of months. I've worked at big firms where the desingers get paid $90K a year and Jake's work is better than any of them. I would, in fact, say that he's one of the best designers I've worked with.

These are the reason's I'll continue to work with Jake until he decides to return to the big leagues:

  • As mentioned above, amazing design skills
  • Business savvy...Some designers kind of live in their own little world, are bad at deadlines, can be a bit caustic, etc. Not Jake! He always produces work on time, understands how to deal with clients, and gets the idea of building a brand.
  • Marketing Minded - After working for Hydra (IMO the best CPA company out there...they don't just take clients...you have to apply!), he understands that designs aren't just meant to look pretty. They're meant to drive business, purchases, clicks, etc. The copy he uses in designs is really catchy and better than I could of written myself and I'm supposed to be the copywriter.
  • Last but not least, HONEST and ETHICAL - You never know what you're going to find on a forum like this. A lot of the services here are built on hyped up sales letters that promise the world. (There's nothing wrong with that...it's sales.) And unfortunately, there a few folks that give a bad name to a lot of people. Jake is one of the people that offsets the bad apples because he's completely transparent, honest, and ethical. He doesn't jack up his prices after you've paid once and he knows someone's willing to pay. He's flexible...I just had a client make some ridiculous requests for revisions that I felt guilty even passing on to Jake. He was cool enough to make the revisions even though he didn't have to and it was beyond the scope of the budget.
This isn't one of those reviews that's requested. It's a review that was deserved. Jake's been instrumental in helping my company get off the ground. Because of his work, a reputation for high quality design work is being associated with my company and for that I'm incredibly grateful. There's literally not enough good things I can say. If you need good design work, Jake's the guy. Period. End of story.

Thesis is a theme for Wordpress, correct?

I do visual design, and SOLID html/css. I've coded MANY Wordpress themes, but I don't offer it as part of my freelance work because I'm not the best value there, nor am I confident that I write the best PHP.

I only mention this because if you have a designer that also understands what it takes to code stuff out, you're going to get MUCH BETTER QUALITY in your designs, period.

Sorry I can't be or more help to you, though! I love meeting new clients :)
 
Excellent work. Some of the most quality design you're going to find on WF. Highly recommended.
