Any affiliates doing Forex here? Not promoting the offers, but actually trading currency themselves?

Been looking for something to jump into besides affiliate stuff and looking into Forex and stock trading.

Any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated.

It seems like it's a really good way to blow a ton of money or quadruple it. George Soros made billions betting on the English pound.

Started learning forex about 2 months ago, no one pushes you into betting the real money untill you feel (better actually are) quite confident. You can open tones of demo account and try your luck there.
Let me copy paste a little quote from 18 y.o genious forex trader:
HTML:
1) Toss a coin: Heads long, Tails short
2) Manage the trade as you see fit. If you think the trade is bad, exit.
3) When you exit a trade, go back to step 1.

If you can double your account in less than 50 flips, I consider you a good enough trader to go live. I personally average between 20 and 30 flips, and I do it once a week, on the weekends, trading simulated data.

I'm learning it right now with eToro - Online Forex Trading Platform I actually found that software via one of my affiliate links (That link isn't my aff link though) and its a $80 payout if anyone is wondering.

Anyway I haven't actually put any real money into it yet but the software they have is (in my opinion) a great system to learn with, there play money thing is based upon all the real world stats, the software provides more then enough features to help you out plus once you get the hang of it and are ready to toss some test money into it you'll already know the system.

At least thats how I look at it..........its a learning curve forsure, there are lots to know about how to trade in the world of Forex before you can make any real money from it but I've always found it fun as hell.

I played around with it a few years ago... never could make anything of it... tried a couple of 'systems' and followed some people who were trading profitably... over the long term it seems that almost everyone loses...

some words of caution... paper trading isn't the same as trading with real money... even if you can make a profit on paper, you may end deep in the hole with real money... imho, the brokerages are the ones that make the most money in the forex game...

I've actually got an excellent domain for this niche that I've been holding off on developing. Anyone know of network which offers services similar to the way IAN does for travel?

The best route for this is to become an introducing broker (1 2) or a white label partner (1 2)

It's basically gambling with massive leverage. Just like gambling, the people who make money at it know how to manage risk. Most people lose their investment and sometimes end up owing money.

George Soros bet against the pound. And he had a very smart man named Jim Rogers working with him in the Quantum fund.

You can make a lot of money, if you understand the way money and credit are introduced, inflated, deflated and destroyed.

Seriously stay away from etoro. Google that shit, the software is some fucked up stuff.

And no Bofu, they didn't shave my pips lol. But the software is fucked up.

Are Lindens actually available on the Forex markets? I mean, it's basically the same shit as WoWg when it comes down to it...

I was making some decent coin off of Forex until Oct 16 last year, when our dollar basically got busted back down to Square 1 and I lost... well, a lot. Once we hit $.80USD again I'll get back in. We're majorly down against everything but the Yen :'(

bb_wolfe: Ssshhh, young people are talking heheh
Lindens are a virtual currency for 2ndLife, but enough trade goes on between the game world and the actual world that the currency has real value. The reason for this is that the economy is strictly maintained and regulated.

Aquetias: The software itself is good for keeping track of markets in realtime, although I've heard it sends back a lot more data than your trade requests.
CG have it as well for $85 I think.

I know of a few affiliates who trade forex - ive never done it myself, seems too much like gambling.
