Things I have learned:
-If your a newbie, go with SEO first, especially if you don't have the money to waist on PPC. It is a much slower route, but leaves alot more room for mistakes. If you've got the extra money, won't hurt to try PPC out, but I lost a lot of money that I couldn't afford to lose when I first started.
-Yahoo answers is your friend, I get SOOO Much traffic from it by just answering like 15 questions a week. Take the time to get to level 2, so that your links show up.
-Take the time, and learn HTML, and at the LEAST be able to edit it. If you work with wordpress(or anything like wordpress) It will come pretty quickly.
-DON'T GIVE UP! You really have no idea, I am an average Joe. I get average grades in school, and I am probably less intelligent than 99% of the people on this forum.
Sorry for Wall of Text, just stoked on this shit.
Hope this helps keep some of you out there motivated.
