Any day. Just cos you have kids, doesn't mean you need to go to "family" places. My folks used to take me walking all time and I loved it. I take my daughter trekking and carry her in a backpack, although she walks a lot of the way.

I'd have to vote for disney world. Went twice as a child on family vacations and they're still the most memorable ones. Awesome place to take children, place seems "magical" lolz

If you want an affordable resort area, with great summer weather and clean bathrooms - and you live near the midwest - try the Black Hills.

You can see all of the great tourist and nature sites, like Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Needles, Hot Springs of SD, etc., and the adults can still gamble in the casinos at night.

Places to stay and eat are typically affordable, clean, safe, and friendly. I grew up nearby, but don't live nearby any more. I took my kids a couple of times when they were young - and they loved it.

Retezat mountains - Romania. Spent 2 week in this area. Best time of my life.

I spent the first 19 years of my life in Maryland and spent a week every summer in Ocean City, MD (do not confuse with Ocean City, NJ). Nice beach to take your family to - tons of awesome food and fun things to do with the kids - mini golf, boardwalk with amusement park, fishing, water sports, arcades. Try to get a place Ocean Side (the bay is on the other side of the peninsula) overlooking the beach (expensive but its great just chilling on the balcony listening to the waves at night).

For food a few things you great places to try: The Bonfire (kick ass buffet), Captain's Pizza (XXL - 28"), Phillips Seafood, grab a couple dozen jumbo blue crab from a carry out place one night to eat at home, Candy Kitchen for the kids, The Green Turtle, Smoker's BBQ Pit, Harpoon Hanna's, JR's for ribs, Thrashers (best goddamn boardwalk french fries in the world), Anthony's, Big Pecker's (more for the novelty of getting the t-shirt than the food), and Fager's Island.

Seacrets for night time fun with the lady.

Oh, plus Delaware is about 20 minutes away - huge outlet mall + no sales tax = winning.
